Overcast days and a chance of rain are forecasted for the Wyoming Valley during the early part of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 56 degrees as of 7 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies were reported.

Rain is expected around mid-day and into early evening today, with a high around 65. Precipitation amounts will range between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

The low will be 51.

Clouds will follow the rain and roll in overnight Tuesday, with Tuesday expected to be sunny with a light wind. The high will be 72.

There is a chance of rain Tuesday night, mainly after 10 p.m. Cloudy with a low around 53.

Rain is likely to follow into Wednesday, with a high in the low 70s. Chance of precipitation 40 percent.
