Pittston’s Care and Concern Clinic plans fifth annual golf tournament for July 10

The fifth annual Care and Concern Golf Tournament will be played on Friday, July 10 at Emanon Country Club with a four-person Captain and Crew format. FALLS — The Fifth Annual Care and Concern Golf Tournament will be played on Friday, July 10 at Emanon Country Club with a four-person Captain and Crew format. Check-in is staled for 10:30 a.m. with lunch at 11 a.m. at the club house and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.

Cost for the tournament is $85 per player or $340 per team and includes greens fees, cart, refreshments, lunch, dinner, player gifts, prizes and awards. There will be putting and chipping contests and much more. Dinner will follow at the former Seton Catholic High School cafeteria.

All proceeds will benefit the Care and Concern Free Health in Pittston in its efforts to provide free diagnostic testing for its patients. The Care and Concern Free Health Clinic serves people who have no health insurance and is operated under the auspices of St. John the Evangelist Parish and is staffed by an all volunteer staff. Since opening in 2007, the clinic has served over 9000 patient visits and is funded through donations and fund raisers.

Tom Medico will serve as honorary chairman of the tournament again this year.
