Wyoming Area sophomore Sam Greenfield was a first-team selection in Division 2 when the Wyoming Valley Conference Boys Basketball Coaches Association voted on its all-star team Feb. 21.

Greenfield was the leading scorer at just under 10 points per game when the Warriors finished third out of five teams in the division.

Pittston Area’s Jordan Black was a second-team choice in Division 1 and was also selected to play for the division team in the Dr. George P. Moses Senior All-Star Game April 1 at Holy Redeemer High School.

Tony Saitta from Wyoming Area was a second-team choice in Division 2.

Black, who led the Patriots in scoring and rebounding, will be joined on the Division 1 senior all-star team by Pittston Area teammate Dylan Osticco.

Division 1 will play a team made up of players from Divisions 2 and 3, which will include Wyoming Area’s Anthony Shaver.

Mark Belenski from Dallas will coach the Division 1 team. Jerry Altavilla and his assistant, Len Martin, will coach the Division 2-3 team.

The Moses game is part of a doubleheader featuring senior players from the Wyoming Valley Conference. The WVC’s girls all-stars will play at 6 p.m.
