WEST PITTSTON — Victory Baseball opened its sixth season Thursday night at West Pittston Little League field.

The organization gives adults with physical and/or mental challenges a chance to step on the diamond and play ball. It stems from the Little League Baseball Challenger program.

The Yankees took on the Phillies, which includes players from all over Luzerne County.

Victory Baseball is part of Victory Sports, a non-profit organization. The group also sponsors basketball in the winter and year-round dances. Plans are in place for yoga classes, movie nights and much more.
