FALLS — The team of Bob Lampman and Joe Ranieli outlasted the field of 70 teams to capture the Ninth Annual Emanon Country Club Founders Day Classic Three-Day Tournament held Friday through Sunday, June 10-12.
After a six-under par 64 score on Friday, which earned the team the medalist honors, they fell behind the team of Len Coleman and Gene Chhiavacci by one stroke heading into Sunday’s final round. Lampman and Ranieli broke par, shooting a one-under 69 to edge out the father and son team of Bill Mecca and David Mecca to win the title.
The tournament had 140 players participate this year. On Sunday, on the 175-yard, par-3 fourth hole, Jim Breck scored a hole-in-one.
