WEST WYOMING — Construction workers who compromised a gas line Friday morning near the intersection of English and West Brady streets brought emergency vehicles and concerned residents out of their homes.

According to Mayor Joseph Herbert, two homes were evacuated for safety purposes, but the situation was quickly resolved and residents were anticipated to return to their homes within the hour.

Fire chief Matt Granteed said at no time did gas enter any residences and residents of the street remained safe throughout the entire incident.

UGI workers were also on site of the incident, citing their presence at the scene as a precautionary measure.
