DURYEA — The Duryea Betterment Committee hosted its first Heritage Day Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Germania Hose Company grounds. Heritage Day celebrated the origins of the town and its ethnic roots in a free, family-friendly event open to all.
Food and refreshments were offered from various vendors, along with music, entertainment, small games of chance, and a special presentation by the founders of the Duryea History webpage.
