AVOCA — A benefit for Avoca Borough Councilman Tom Fritz will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the West Side Social Club, 711 McAlpine St.
Fritz has served on the council for over 10 years and has been a volunteer in a number of area events such as the Avoca Little League and basketball league. He’s been a patient at a Philadelphia hospital since July following a surgical procedure.
The benefit will include food, beverages, a Chinese auction and raffles. A $20 donation is requested.
