PITTSTON — More than 180 attended the 2015 Greater Pittston Person of the Year and Joseph F. Saporito Sr. Lifetime of Service awards ceremony Wednesday, March 23 at the Gramercy Ballroom and Restaurant.
Former Pittston mayor and first Person of the Year Mike Lombardo presented the Person of the Year award to Rose Randazzo, Pittston’s Main Street Manager. U.S. Magistrate Judge Joseph Saporito Jr. and his brother Carlo presented the Joseph F. Saporito Sr. Lifetime of Service Award, which is named in memory of their father, to the family of the late Tom Tigue Sr.
The award recipients were also presented with citations from state Rep. Mike Carroll, state Sen. John Yudichak, U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta and U.S. Rep. Matthew Cartwright.
