EXETER — The third Annual Wyoming Area Catholic School (WACS) Class of 1980 Kindness Award was given to fourth grade student Madison.
Madison was honored in a short program on Friday in front of her fellow students at WACS.
Some members of the WACS Class of 1980 were present for the ceremony led by classmate Andrew Vitek.
“Over the last few years, the WACS Class of 1980 have stepped up and awarded a scholarship to a student at our school entitled the Kindness Award,” Eileen Rishcoff, WACS principal, said. “They leave the choice up to faculty and staff and collectively we discuss the student nominations.”
This year, the WACS Class of 1980 honored Michael Sheplock, who passed away in 2024.
All the children received Kindness pins in honor of the entire school’s commitment.
Madison was joined at the ceremony by parents Don and Meghan as well as siblings, Nat and Nicholas, also students of WACS.
