PLAINS TWP. — Another dining option is coming to Mohegan Sun Pocono in early August, a casino spokesman said Thursday.

The yet-to-be-named Irish pub and eatery will be located near the main entrance and feature “weekend entertainment, authentic Irish fare, premium beverages and unique Celtic décor,” spokesman Cody Chapman said. More details will be available in the coming weeks, he added.

In an announcement posted to an employee Facebook page, Mohegan Sun Pocono President Anthony Carlucci said additional space for the eatery will be made by relocating 105 The River radio station and combining with space vacated by the departure of Crossing Vineyards Wine and Cheese Shop on July 31.

Crossing Vineyards carries cheeses from West Pittston-based igourmet.com and an extensive wine list, according to the casino’s website. “We wish Crossing Vineyards much luck and success and thank them for their years as a tenant,” Carlucci wrote in the Facebook post.
