PITTSTON — The Greater Pittston YMCA board members and staff announce the recipients of their 2019 Community Awards.
The event will be held Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Marello Parish. This annual tradition hosted by the Greater Pittston YMCA honors leaders who have positively impacted both the YMCA and the entire community. This year’s honorees include:
• Lifetime Achievement Award — Attorney Michael I. Butera
• Spirit of the Community Award Co-Recipients — Rep. Mike Carroll and Senator John Yudichak
• Corporate Distinction Award — Landmark Community Bank
• Sam Milazzo Volunteer of the Year Award — Gloria Blandina
• James and Jean Yates Youth Leadership Award — Joey Jones
• Y Member Spotlight Award — Michael Augello
This year’s recipients were all selected for their leadership and service to our community through volunteer activities that bring about positive social change throughout all of the greater NEPA area.
The Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Atty. Neil O’Donnell. The presenting dinner sponsor for the event is Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services.
