KINGSTON – The Wyoming Seminary Mock Trial teams recently competed in the 10th Annual Blue and Gold Invitational Mock Trial Tournament at LaSalle University, Philadelphia, with about 300 students and 40 schools in attendance.

Sem’s Mock Trial Blue Team, one of three teams fielded by Sem, finished in eighth place.

In addition, Sem sophomore Emily Aikens, Jenkins Township, received a Best Plaintiff Attorney Award, while sophomore Ben Zhao, of Mountain Top, received a Best Defense Attorney Award and junior Max Liu, of Kingston, earned a Best Defense Witness Award. Aikens was one of only two competitors to receive a perfect ranking from the judges.

Team members are coached by Attorney Michelle Quinn and teacher-coaches Dr. Elizabeth Penland, Morgan Howard-Penland and Tom Morris.
