Wyoming Area graduate Marc Anthony Minichello won his collegiate debut March 23 when he threw the javelin 225 feet for the University of Pennsylvania at the Penn Challenge.

Minichello’s effort was the third-longest throw in the history of the prestigious Penn men’s track and field program.

Army West Point beat out Penn, 168-162, for first place in the 10-team event.

Minichello finished first among 12 javelin throwers from Penn, Villanova, Bucknell and Rider.
