Dominic DeLuca from Wyoming Area was the only Wyoming Valley Conference player selected to participate in Tuesday’s Class of 2020 All-Star Game at the Inside Lacrosse Recruiting Invitational in Baltimore.
DeLuca was at the invitational with the Zombies, a team made up primarily of WVC players.
The tournament was conducted Monday through Wednesday. College coaches selected players for Tuesday’s all-star game based on their performances in two games Monday.
DeLuca played for Team White, which tied Team Black, 10-10, in the all-star game.
The midfielder, who is also a college recruit in football as a defensive back/quarterback, helped the Zombies go 3-1 to finish third in Pool D before losing their final two games of the invitational.
DeLuca was the second-leading scorer on the Zombies with seven goals and five assists in the tournament.
Wyoming Area teammate Jakob Switzer added two goals and an assist for the Zombies.
