PITTSTON — On Monday night, the Pittston Memorial Library was filled with neon colors, old school games and music sung by artists whose hair defied gravity.
The library is turning back time April 11-15 during its celebration of National Library Week that will feature 1980s-themed activities for patrons of all ages.
Patrons gathered Monday for a 1980s-themed adult coloring night, complete with an ’80s version of the popular game show, “Name That Tune.”
Activities will be available for all ages, including sand art, an ’80s photo contest, a family movie night, and ’80s movie and book trivia.
National Library Week, annually recognized during the second week of April, is a time to celebrate the contributions libraries and library workers make to their communities.
This year’s theme is transformation, according to Pittston Memorial Library Director Patricia Joyce.
